Something major is coming, and Reese Witherspoon is at the helm. Her production company Hello Sunshine is teaming up with 'Gossip Girl' producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage to create what can only be a masterpiece: a prequel series based on the 'Legally Blonde' movies. The spin-off is in development at Amazon MGM and Witherspoon finally revealed the premise in a teaser on Instagram on May 14. She appeared in her iconic pink suit to give fans the backstage tour, and revealed that the series will follow Elle Woods in the lead-up to her Harvard days. “Before she became the most famous Gemini vegetarian to graduate from Harvard Law, she was just a regular ‘90s high school girl. And all of you are going to get to know her, next year on @primevideo. I’M SO EXCITED!” the caption read. The series will be released on Amazon Prime but no date has been revealed yet.
